Star Wars

This section of the blog is about one of my greatest passions. It all started when I was a little kid and I simply never stopped expanding my knowledge. Nothing pathological, I think, but multiple visions of the movies, many books and comic books read over the years, and a decent memory led to the decision that it was about time to share such knowledge.

The internet is full of websites dedicated to the Star Wars universe. There is a bunch of YouTube channels that is doing a marvelous job in explaining the story, the philosophy, and the fan theories. There is even a small amount of people that is living (or trying to live) following the Jedi Code. For real.

So I asked myself what can possibly be my contribution.

To begin what I hope is going to be a steady recurrence along the reviews of TV shows and movies (and the very occasional discussion about the academic life), I decided to write a guide. It is not intended to tell you everything about the Star Wars expanded universe (i.e. not only the movies but also other sources) but rather indicate a path through the vast available material in order to get the maximum amount of knowledge in the shortest possible time. It is divided into three parts (+ a summary) that I hereby link for you

Here the basic knowledge: introduction to the guide and the movies.

Here the first level: the animated series.

Here the second level: the comic books.

Here a summary with no explanations.

Quite a read, but it should provide you guidance through this amazing universe of stories.

Moreover, it is my intention to open a few discussions about various aspects of the franchise. I don't want to begin a what if series of post, or a fan theory section of the blog: I really don't care much about such things (I do enjoy them, tho). The series of post that I am preparing will be dedicated to analyzing the choices of our beloved characters and the messages hidden into the stories. I do recognize the pointlessness of such discussions, but I believe that thinking with more depth or just looking at things with a different approach will eventually make you love Star Wars even more.

The first one is about the role the Jedi had in the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire, trying to find their true responsibility and finding a universal lesson.
