Movies

I don't really get the purpose of a page entirely dedicated to one thing, since in a blog you have labels and other fancy tools to redirect your reader to the topic he/she will like most. However, if there is one thing that I can truly understand of the human nature, it is laziness.

To help you, my lazy friend, I created this page, that will collect all the links that you want in an order that will be apparent once that I will write something.

I really can't make it easier than that. Although now I'm noticing that a lazy person really does not read these lines, a lazy person is efficient.

For the laziest, one day, I will make a podcast.

This is the era of TV Shows, but movies are a good excuse to leave the house and still talk with fewer people as possible. So I thought that a section about them is appropriate.

Arrival is a solid Sci-Fi product, addressing the importance of communication and global cooperation.

Collateral Beauty is a movie that tells a horrible story involving horrible people. Thus they advertise it differently.

Independence Day 2: Resurgence. You can find every reason to not watch this movie here, but also the same amount of reasons to watch the first masterpiece, it is my first movie review and there is even a gif.

Hacksaw Ridge is an emotional movie telling you a heroic true story. Excellent battle sequences but heavy rhetoric are what you can expect from it.

Life is an entertaining movie that will keep you on the edge of your seats regardless not being of great originality.
Live by Night suffers from the presence of too many subplots and themes, making their development superficial and never entertaining.

Logan is a movie with great action scenes, violent and entertaining. However, it does not provide a solid plot to support its themes and looks like a missed opportunity
Nerve. A movie that on paper looks bad but turned out to be a good way to spend a couple of hours. A spoiler-free review with pros and cons is then provided.

Rogue One is an excellent film in the Star Wars universe. The experiment of the first anthology movie can be considered a success. Here a spoiler-free review.

Snowden is a movie that tells a story that you already know, in an unoriginal way, without any human reaction that you would expect from a movie.

Suicide Squad. In one line: everything in the movie is great except the movie itself. A new Joker, a team of bad guys, two great cameos, but a big thing was missing...
This second review on the movie is full of spoilers but gives us the opportunity to discuss the critical points of the movie. And see how much fans and critics differ.

Sully is a great movie with a very wrong message.

The Founder is a movie that heavily suffers from a systemic problem because it is a true story. The good acting is thwarted by a not efficient script and this damages a potentially good cinematographic experience.
The Infiltrator contains another astonishing performance by Bryan Cranston and overcomes many problems that are common in true story-based movies.

The Magnificent Seven is a movie with great action sequences and good convincing performances, but here, in a spoiler-free review, I discuss why it lacks in originality.

War Dogs. A good movie and a missed opportunity, in this spoiler-free review we see what is good and what is not.
